I offer creative, practical and fun storytelling sessions for young people which aim to create connection and grow imagination.

I provide:

HAF Storytelling Workshops
School workshops linked to syllabus (Myths &Legends and History)
Interactive Shakespeare Stories: Bringing the plays to life through story
Forest school: Nature stories and workshop or a Midsummer nights Dream workshop
Family storytelling sessions for festivals and Events

About me

I am an actor, performer, storyteller and writer who has worked extensively in schools in the past 12 years. I bring a sense of playfulness to each session and believe that storytelling is for everyone.

I currently deliver sessions for HAF programme and stoke literary festivals and regularly provide sessions for The Lowry Theatre's education programmes.

I am a highly experienced workshop facilitator, hold an enhanced DBS, public liability Insurance and have undertaken safe-guarding child protection training with Salford City Council & GMP in 2023.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

A fun, creative, interactive 90 min session which includes

A short story performed to the group
improvisation games to warm up
On your feet story games
Using props to create imaginative stories to share with group

For any SEND workshops with young people with PMLD, I can provide a multisensory session.

My aim is to hold an inclusive storytelling workshop which is accessible for all regardless of language and literacy barriers. to as many young people in greater Manchester as possible.

HAF & SCHOOL WORKSHOP INFORMATION

Each half day can either be split into two 45 min sessions for two groups or one 90 min session for a whole group with a short break in the middle.

For school settings I ask group sizes to be no more than 30, otherwise I will need to bring an extra support staff, which would increase the fee.

I ask for background noise to be a minimum and for a staff member to present in case of behavioural issues.
